Save the Dolphins♥

I just want to share this heartbreaking story. I came across this post in Facebook when my sister shared it on her wall. It seems that this particular story has been trending ever since. I was appalled and completely disgusted by what I saw.

A small fishing village in Denmark, has practiced a Norse celebration from 1200 years ago in which a boy about 15  - 18 would slaughter a Calderon Dolphin in order to prove himself a man. Hundreds and hundreds of young men would go to the Faroe Islands just so they could be a part of the celebration.

The Calderon dolphin would go to the Island every summer, without knowing the danger that they will be in to. The dolphins are lured into the beach and cut with knives and hooks several times until their heads are severed and soon decapitated. The dolphins would cry and try to run away... some even say that their cries are like a human baby..

This kind of celebration should not be practiced anymore, it shows how uncivilized humans can be. With the technology and the generation today, a type of inhumane act is truly unacceptable..

Those dolphins have no means of voicing out their stories and the hope of justice to be served.

I couldn't imagine the feeling of those creatures, that the only reason why they are there is to socialize and play with humans only to be deceived.

Animals are just like us, they live in the same planet and breathe the same air, what makes humans any different from them? They serve their purposes in the world. Humans are supposed to protect and take care of the environment, this is our home, this is our lives and they are just like us, we are no different. Somehow they are even better. 

Let us help stop this cruelty.. please spread the word.
